Net Profit Or Loss On Every Single Invoice
The bill register sets the billable cost of the work — taken from the hours actually posted against those jobs — beside what was charged for them, and prints the difference on every row. Not for the firm as a whole and not for a month: for this bill, to this client, for this return. A practice can bill three crore and still not know which of its work loses money. This is the column that says so.

Bill Register
Every invoice raised, line by line, with the branch, state, client, file number, group, which of your firms raised it, the number, the date, the amount before and after taxes, what has been received against it, discount, what is still outstanding, who created it, whether it has been sent, and any debit or credit note against it. The one report that holds the whole billing year in a single grid.

Bill Summary
Billing totalled rather than listed — the answer to “what did we bill this year” without reading three hundred rows to work it out.
Receipt Register
Every receipt entered, one line each, with its number, date, book and what it was against. The collection counterpart of the bill register, and the report an auditor asks for first.
Receipt Summary
Collection totalled rather than listed. Billing tells a partner what the year was worth on paper; this tells them what came in.
Summary Receipts Register
Receipts consolidated as a register — the middle ground between the line-by-line list and the single total, for reconciling a period without reading every entry.
Net Outstanding Report
What is owed, as its own report rather than as a figure on a dashboard. The list a partner takes into a recovery meeting.
Free Task Report
Work deliberately marked free of charge. A concession stays visible and countable instead of disappearing into goodwill — so at renewal a partner can say exactly what the firm has been giving away, and to whom.
Debit Note And Credit Note Register
Every adjustment made to a bill after it was raised, on its own register. Corrections are the part of billing most likely to be questioned later, so they are recorded apart from the invoices rather than netted quietly into them.
Service Estimate Register
Every estimate issued, listed — so a quotation sent in May is still visible in November instead of being remembered by whoever wrote it.
Estimate Summary
Estimates totalled: what the firm has quoted, against what it has actually billed. The gap between the two is the pipeline nobody usually measures.
Auto Generated Bill Log
A record of what the automatic billing run produced and when. A firm issuing a thousand invoices in one click needs to be able to look back at exactly which thousand, and this is where that is kept.
Actions you can take from this screen3 actions
All reports are available branch-wise and year-wise
The same report for the head office or for any branch, in any financial year back to 2004-2005, so a multi-office practice reads the same figures at whatever level it manages.
Filter inside the report, column by column
Each column carries its own filter, so a register of several hundred bills becomes the twelve rows a question is actually about without going back to the selection screen.
The three expense reports are also available here
Unbilled, billed and non-billable expenses sit on this same menu — captured in the expenses module where their own screens live, and reachable from billing because that is where somebody asks the question.
